Infrared precipitation sensor

The Precipitation sensor (infrared) is used in connection with a downstream safety feature (e.g. sun shading control system) to prevent damage to the sun shading system from rain, hail or snow. Precipitation in the form of sprinkle, rain or snow triggers a switch signal in the sensor. This sensor detects precipitation through interruption of a light barrier. Thanks to its heated face, ice will not form on the sensor. Error messages are prevented by the event filter.
